The big difference in Florida and Alabama is Alabama peaked early in the season and Florida is peaking late in the season. It's not gonna be pretty in the SEC champship game. This is one of the best teams Florida has ever had.

I'm a Gator fan in Bama. I'm very proud of Bama and have been cheering them on this year. Bama and Saban have turned it around. But I don't think, as much as they've improved, they'll beat the Gators. Bama's had a problem with being consistent through both halves. They either let their guard down, had too much confidence or something with LSU and either good luck or just plain skill with the rest. Don't know what happened with the Gators and Ole Miss. But when you compare the Gators and Bama, the Gators have the edge. I believe they'll beat Bama. They're consistent the whole game. Anyway, its a divided house here. Hubby, Bama. Me, GO GATORS!!!!! All the way to a championship!!!!

Florida has the atheletes, the remaining schedule, and the coach to win the Championship. (that would be the NATIONAL, not the lil SEC thang) Looks like once again, the best one game team in the country won't get a chance to prove it. (you listening LS Who fans?) USC may not even make the Rose Bowl. Such a shame. Weak conference year, indeed. The worst I remember in fact. The jury is still out on their offense. (this is a mystery to me I admit, with their talent) But for ONE game, (read: national Championship) USC & Florida would be a great match up.

If you're including Idaho as a travel partner for Boise or something, you might note that Salt Lake City is actually an hour closer to Boise (by road) than Moscow, ID is.

The reason that Florida is so good is the very reason that Alabama will lose in the SEC championship game. I'm not taking anything away from the "TIDE",they have had a very good season and what can you say about Saben and Parker-Wilson. I’m with you Bill. ROLL TIDE ROLL. If we don’t make stupid mistakes, and JP can keep the
game managed, we have a good chance against those nasty gators. There is nothing more I
would like to see than for the Tide to silence those gators and for us to play Texas Tech for the
BCS championship! I think we are going to see Saban play some conservative football for the
rest of the regular season to keep injuries at bay, but still play to win. When they come out on the
field at the GA Dome on 12/6...I believe they will be ready! ROLL TIDE!!

p.s. Maybe Tebow will get a stomach flu or something. lol

Obviously we are two diehard fans for each team and the argument won't die. But you do have to admit the Gators have crushed each team, LSU, Georgia, etc. 'Bama has not and that's why they should be worried.

As a native Los Angeles born fan of all things-So Cal-athletics, I love the fact that the sports reporting media continues to be dominated by writers who've never been hit by a Taylor Mays type safety, had a jumper slapped back in their faces by a 6'6" point guard, or been beaned by a 90+ MPH fastball. By January, USC will again be at the top of this list. All that's missing is tweaking the offensive line play (Already underway). Mark it down Tamanaha, SC crushes whoever gets that assignment in the New Year, and we're hoping and praying it's Gatorish.

The MWC has the best three teams this year (Utah, TCU, byu; yes, they would all manhandle the mighty broncos), and is easily the better conference from top to bottom. (see: Wyoming over Tennessee)

If another conference is created, why would anyone want Idaho in it? Since leaving the Sunbelt conference in 2005 their record in the WAC is 9-37 (6-25 within the WAC) how would this help the "new" conference at all, and the same goes to the equally horrid San Diego State... why not just drop San Diego State and Wyoming back into the WAC and send Boise State and Nevada or Louisiana Tech into the MWC?

I cannot understand anyone putting OU ahead of Texas at this point in the season. Texas beat OU by 10 points on a neutral field and barely lost to a red-hot Texas Tech in Lubbock after playing 3 quarters of bad football and with several people banged up. Why on earth would you have OU ahead of Texas before Tech and OU even play? Even if OU wins...they beat Tech at home not in Lubbock and I still think you have to give the nod to Texas since they won the head to head matchup. Not to mention, do you really think this Sooners defense is better than Texas'? Oh yeah, Texas already proved it isn't when they played OU and BEAT them by rattling Sam Bradford in the 2nd half. At least the coaches had the brains this week to rectify putting OU in front of Texas in the polls.

The realignment seems to make sense. Every team has a travel partner like the Pac 10 and you have to have a couple of bottom feeder type teams in any conference to give it balance. Plus, it also has to make sense for the remaining teams.

Oregon had 694 yards on the 13th ranked defense in the country in their house... and if you think they're not scarier than Missouri at this point you just ain't watching... with Jeremy Masoli passing for 250+ two games in a row, THIS is the best offense in the country. The Holiday Bowl with the Ducks against Texas Tech should be the most entertaining game of the bowl season.

UGA LSU UT FSU all the usual suspects will simply have to take the beat down, The USC/Texas sham will have to do what Oklahoma did take the back seat. Pac ten is one team wonder. Big 12 plays no defense. Gators are most complete team in run away best conference in college football.
