Ha... Mack Brown is still going in circles. When you have a perfect, round-robin, 3-way tie, you cannot use a head-to-head analysis to break the tie-breaker. Otherwise, you are just left going in circles. Texas beat OU, Tech beat Texas, OU beat Tech, etc..

OU was deserving since they played a much stronger schedule and were more impressive on the field throughout the season.

There is no secret that BCS experts are going to share with Coach Brown and the Longhorns about how to get ahead in the BCS rankings. It is ridiculous for him to invite them there to explain the system! The thing that got Oklahoma into the Big 12 and nation championship games is strength of schedule. That is why the computers put them in instead of Texas. The human polls put Texas ahead of Oklahoma, so it was not a matter of how many points they scored! Common'!

Hey, if you want to schedule a bunch of soft teams to ensure that you go undefeated in your non-league schedule, then you are going to pay the price somewhere, eventually. That somewhere came in the BCS rankings at the end of the year. They have no one to blame but themselves for scheduling a bunch of weak teams! Then they get on TV to beg for votes and complain about the system that they had no problems with before the year began. I seems kind of pathetic to me.

Had the roles been reversed last year, Texas would have never leapfrogged Oklahoma. All the so called "experts", inculding the "BCS people" would have claimed the Texas had lost to Oklahome on the filed, where things should be settled. There is bias there and there will always be.
Even with their National Championships, Heisman Trohpy winners, and all those Texas players on their roster, The University of Texas-Norman will never be the equal to the University of Texas. Check the head to head record.

I guess the whole sportsmanship thing that the NCAA promotes in the PCAs at halftime is a crock of you know what. Old Ugly got points for blowing out teams. I agree, strength of schedule. Until there is a play-off none matters. You win a championship, others claim they didn't have the chance. They say that a play-off extends the season, no not if done right. You have 34 or 36 bowls, use some of them for a 16 team play-off, use the major bowls for the Simi and the fifth for the championship. nuff said.

Anyone who uses strenghth of schedule to argue anything is stupid. What do you use to determine strength? Schedule strength has so many variables it is as meaningless as all of the other BCS computer ranking statistics. The only indesputable criterion you can use is games won on the field. The only system that will ever determine a true national champion is a playoff.

First, 45-35 is about as relevant now as say 65-13. Also, Mack Brown can invite the BCS monster to Austin and worship at it's feet, but until Texas puts together a real non-conference schedule, there will always be that possibility of being jumped.....and just like last year, OU's non-conference schedule for the upcoming season is much better than Texas'. Lastly, what's sweeter than the Sooner opening up Jerry Jones' new 1.1 billion dollar baby?!

All the talk about how Oklahoma scored 60 points in 5 games in a row was ridiculous. The reason it had never been done before is that all the other NCAA coaches in history and currently had the class and sportsmanship to pull their starters when the game outcome had been comfortably decided. Bob Stoops is one of the most classless coaches ever to be involved in college sports.
The unfortunate part of this is that the BCS rewards coaches and teams who show no sportsmanship or class. What does this teach our student athletes? The BCS is an evil process designed by those who put greed ahead of what is right for the student athletes and the game.
